At 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Montréal & Eco-Depot, we’re known for fast, professional service—and that starts behind the scenes. We’re hiring a Contract Payroll & Data Specialist to help manage payroll and reporting while a team member is on parental leave.

About the Role

This is a backend support role with a focus on payroll, data accuracy, and automation. You’ll work independently to manage payroll through Ceridian PowerPay, ensure all data in our interconnected Google Sheets is clean and up to date, and use light scripting to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

Run and validate payroll using Ceridian PowerPay
Maintain and update interconnected Google Sheets
Use scripts (Apps Script/Excel formulas) to automate tasks
Pull, clean, and organize data for payroll, reporting, and compliance
Collaborate with admin, finance, and operations to ensure smooth payroll cycles

What You Bring

✅ Experience in payroll processing (Ceridian PowerPay required)
✅ Advanced skills in Google Sheets (formulas, cross-sheet linking, scripting/automation)
✅ Excellent attention to detail—accuracy is non-negotiable
✅ Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet recurring deadlines
✅ Comfortable with part-time hours and a flexible, self-managed workflow

Compensation & Details

💼 Part-time contract: ~20 hours/week, Monday–Friday
🏠 Remote, with on-site training in Montréal for the first 2 weeks
💰 $22–$27/hour, based on experience
📆 Contract length: 3–4 months (parental leave coverage)
